The smooth functioning of the team is dependent on parent/adult energy and enthusiasm. It is absolutely necessary for parents/adults to be involved. There are many opportunities for participation. These include: working at meets, timing at meets, publicity, organizing fundraisers, helping with social functions, writing the club newsletter, managing team statistics and promoting team enthusiasm. Parents are encouraged to help the team in ways that are interesting and enjoyable. Parents will be required to work at meets. With more of our swimmers qualifying for faster meets, our team’s obligation to work timing, etc. at these meets has increased. A parent volunteer will coordinate and inform parents of lane timing assignments at meets.
