pm Notices: New!! November Calendar WHITNEY POINT MEET - Sun. 11/23 Sign -ups: Mon-Weds, all entries are due at the end of practice (Mock Meet) on Wed 11/19. There will be a sign-up sheet in classroom #289, please see Coach Katie with any questions before or after practices. DRYLAND PRACTICE The coaching staff is implementing dryland as part of practices for developmental and advanced groups. Swimmers are strongly encouraged to attend. Dryland workouts will start on Thursday, Nov. 13th at 6:30pm. Dryland will continue throughout this session on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:00pm. Swimmers are asked to come prepared with dryland clothes, sneakers and an extra towel for laying on the ground and ready to begin at 6:30 sharp in the hallway outside the girls locker room. Swimmers should wear their swim suits under their dryland clothes as to be ready to get in the pool promptly at 7:00. If you have any questions, please see Coach Katie. The next Board Meeting (Revised) Will be held on Monday, November 24th at 7pm in Room 272 of JC High School. Mark your calendars! MOCK SWIM MEET Wednesday 11/19/08 at JCHS Beginners @ 6pm Dev. & Adv. @ 7pm Swimmer Assessments All new and returning swimmers for UNAC will need to be assessed by the coaching staff for proper placement (B, D, or A). Assessments will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until November 24th. Please come prepared with, suit, cap & goggles and be ready on the pool deck at 6:00pm sharp. The assessment will take appx. 30 mins (similar to a mini practice). Once swimmers have been assessed and informed of what group to register with, swimmers should find their parents so they can register directly following the assessment. Parents should remain at the pool (room # 289) to register their swimmer. If no one is available in room # 289 to process registrations, the coaching staff will have the required forms and will be able to assist you. Registration fees and USA swimming insurance fee MUST be paid before your child can attend practices. Swimmers may remain for practice, or may opt to start the next day. Please check the website frequently as this is subject to change. December assessment dates will be posted in the near future. UNAC Team Swimsuit Supplier Web Site: Click on "Team Locker Room". Employment Assistant Swim Coach Wanted & Lifeguards Wanted For more information, contact UNAC President UNAC to Host Silver Districts Your current UNAC Board of Directors was successful in bidding for the Silver District Meet that is usually held in Rochester or Buffalo. This is a big deal for UNAC and this area! The meet will be held in February 2009 at SUNY Binghamton. More details will be available in the future.

Special Notes: Due to Insurance regulations, parents are required to remain off the pool deck area during swim practice and meets. The Swim deck is the area surrounding the pool that is used for coaches, lifeguards, and other officials. If you have a question or need to speak to a coach (and it is not an emergency situation), please speak with the coach before or after the practice or meet. Need more Information?
